Legendary Shirts:Juventus FC

The giant of Northern Italy and record Serie A champion-Juvenus was founded in 1897 by pupils of the Massimo D’Azeglio school but it wasn’t until 1905 that it won its first scudetto and also that same year changed to black and white stripes inspired by the English side Notts Couny which gave them the nickname Bianconeri. But the turning point for the club came in 1923 when Fiat owner Edoardo Angelli bought the club and became its owner, from that time the Agnelli family owns Juventus which continues to this day.and from that moment Juventus became Italy’s most dominant club, starting with a string of titles in the 1930s with a record of five consecutive Serie A titles under coach Carlo Carcano and players like Raimundo Orsi,Luigi Bertolini,Giovanni Ferrari and Luis Monti which made the core of Vittorio Pozzo’s 1934 Italy squad which won its first World Cup title on its own soil. However the Bianconeri wouldn’t win a Serie A title until 1950 and after a slow period of the 1960s,came the era of the 1970s and 1980s has won nine Serie A titles and had players like Jose Altafini,Roberto Bettega,Dino Zoff,Paolo Rossi,Zbigniew Boniek and most notably one of the most best players of the 1980s era Michel Platini, under the teneture of legendary coach Giovanni Trapattoni from 1976 to 1986 the Bianconeri dominated Italian and European football and the height of their success was the 1985 Intercontinental Cup victory against Argentinos Juniors which confirmed their status of the best club in the world in the early to mid 1980s,the rest of the decade wasn’t so successful. But again the Bianconeri came to the top thanks to another legendary coach-Marcello Lippi which took the Bianconeri to the glory days and with a line-up which consisted of Ciro Ferrara,Antonio Conte,Didier Deschamps,Fabrizio Ravanelli,Gianluca Vialli and Bianconeri legend Alessandro Del Piero which in its career made 513 appearances for the Bianconeri, conquered Italian and European football for a second time and the period between the mid 1990s and early 2000s was one of the most successful periods for the club, but also another Frenchman would make its mark in the club the legendary Zinedine Zidane. The success of the Bianconeri continue in the early 2000s before the Calciopoli scandal in 2006 brought the club to its knees and as a result the club suffered one of its worst periods,it took six years that the Bianconeri win another Serie A title and since the 2011-12 season the Bianconeri dominate Italian football with five in a row Serie A titles, all it is missing is a success in European football to confirm their dominance.
