The giant from West London which are the blues of Chelsea were formed on the 10th of March 1905 and in irs early years it yo-yoed between the First and Second Divison while a decade after it was founded in 1915 they reached the final of the FA Cup where they were defeated by Sheffield United at Old Trafford,while in the 1919-20 season the club  had their best season where they finished third,however in the folowing years the club suffered a decline and it was relegated in 1924 while six years later in 1930 the Blues returned to the First Division which they will remain for the next 32 years,however it was under legendary manager Ted Drake that Chelsea would experience success when in 1955 they won their first English league title and became the first English club to participate in the inaugural edition of the European Champions Cup,in the years that followed the Blues couldn’t capitalize on the success of their 1955 title winning squad and went again in a period of declice when in 1962 the Blues were relegated again but returned to the First Division a season later with a squad which featured the names of Peter Bonetti,Ron Harris,Terry Venables,George Graham nad others together with manager Tommy Docherty the club began to climb the ranks of English football but never achieved any major success and only made an appearance in the 1967 FA Cup final at Wembley against Tottenham where they were defeated 2-1,while Docherty was fired from his job the following season,but the early 1970s when the Blues won the FA Cup and the UEFA Cup Winners Cup under manager Dave Sexton which will be the club’s last trophy in a decade and the rest of the 1970s and early 1980s the club went into a decline in which they spent seasons between the First and Second Division and it wasn’t until 1984 when under manager John Neal they returned to the First Division and later known the Premier League that they stayed there and made a huge progress especially in the 1990s with players like Dennis Wise,Gianfranco Zola,Frank Lebeouf,Gus Poyet,Gianluca Vialli,Roberto Di Matteo and others where they won both domestic and European trophies but still missed the the biggest prize the Premier LEague title,but a game changer happened in 2004 when Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich bought the club and from that moment Chelsea rose to the top of English and European football with winning trophies in both English and European football and in the following years that will continue while the Chelsea fans at the legendary Stamford Bridge sing Blue Is The Color.
